all-natural beverages at home. Working as an extension of their international product development team, Impel helped Primula
re-position their business as an impactful lifestyle brand driven by innovation & design.
Impel's designers delved deep beyond the client's original project brief, re-imagining the 12 hour process of infusing fresh fruit flavors in to water. Through research and kitchen-testing of several iterations of physical mockups and recipes, we invented and developed the Instant Infusion Core and Flavor Wand. This mesh-lined core contains fruits and herbs while the wand is used to crush the ingredients and pump water through the core, rapidly extracting their flavors. Now, full flavored beverages can be created in seconds, not hours.
The Flavor Now Instant Infusion Pitcher integrates the Instant Infusion system in a convenient product for everyday use. An IDEA Design award finalist, the Flavor Now's design nods to iconic 70's kitchenwares; updated with an iconic silhouette, and a painstakingly crafted 3D surface texture.
With a 2.5 gallon capacity, this beverage dispenser makes and serves fruit-infused beverages and cocktails for a crowd. Positioned as a high-end item for exclusive catalog retail, it features substantial cast aluminum components and luxurious, spa-inspired surface detailing.
The MyBev line was further extended with the introduction of 1-gallon Ultimate Iced Tea Pitcher featuring a familiar, curvaceous silhouette. Soon after, the 2.7 qt Fruit Infusion Pitcher was launched as an exclusive for QVC. There’s more to come so watch this space for updates.
